As of 01.02.2019 the JEFTA free trade agreement between Japan and the European Union will come into effect. Under Annex 2-A, Article 1, it is stated, that all duties for goods originating from the EU resp. Japan are to be abolished, entirely. Excemptions are listed in detail under Section B, where the duty free importation is subject to a
time / tariff schedule or waived altogether. Expecially for our japanese clients the trade agreement results in an improved marked position as they benefit from JEFTA.
